March Service Hours - 9 hours

 03/12/24 & 03/18/24

I went to the Reily Kitchen with Second Harvest. We packed up meal kits for children who are food insecure in the local area. It has been super fun to be a part of this charity this semester and work with. I got to meet a lot of local retirees I was working with and we were able to make our quota for the day which was a great accomplishment to make.

03/23/24

I went Hands On Free Pantry in the 9th Ward. It was a small local free grocery store that was supplied by local donations. We were able to put together a great produce section to supply our customers and it felt great for to give the community quality food that they could bring home just like groceries. While the semester is winding down, it has been great to get involved in local service organizations and is definitely my favorite part of living in New Orleans.
